Description
Bubble Frosting is another take on the solid bubble bath craze. It’s special formulation allows it to be piped just like cake frosting, yet it dries nice and hard to ensure beautiful packaging. Makers all over are using bubble frosting to add interest and flair to their bath bombs.
Format: 3 hour recorded Zoom video + downloadable PDF handout. You’ll have immediate, forever access to the video and can watch it whenever you want.
In this class we will make and use bubble frosting together trying a couple different recipes! We will cover everything beginning to end, so even if you have never touched a piping bag, you’ll be producing perfectly piped frosting when we’re done!
In this class you’ll learn:
- All about ingredients and equipment for successful piping.
- How to modify and make substitutions for your perfect formula!
- Coloring your frosting.
- Techniques for different piping tips.
- Troubleshooting and what to do when all else fails!
During this session we will make three projects perfect for Mother’s Day, or any occasion that calls for flowers! We will start with simple bubble shots, move to bath bomb cupcakes topped with bubble frosting, and finally end with delicately piped bubble flowers.
If the idea of bubble frosting has intimidated you, it’s time to let that go! With this step by step instructional you’ll be piping up a storm in no time!
About the instructor:
Robyn French Smith
My name is Robyn French Smith, and I own Scandalous Soap Company! I studied fine art at the University of St Thomas and the Glassell School of Art in Houston TX, and graphic design at The Art Institute of Houston. I started dabbling in DIY bath and body products over 10 years ago after moving to Alaska. While I knew how to make bath bombs for several years, I didn’t start formulating and designing my own bath fizzies until 2019 when I left my former LLC and launched my own company. Using my background in art to create beautiful and unique bath products, has been a joy! I love testing and experimenting, and I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned as we hang out on a virtual retreat.
